Special educational needs
If you have a statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) your year 9 review is important as it will help you decide if:
- You want to stay on at school after your GCSEs.
- You want to move on to a college of further education after your GCSEs.
- You want to move into work-based training after your GCSEs.
Connexions has a range of support services so that you can overcome barriers to your education, training and employment opportunities.
It is delivered through a network of personal advisers linking in with specialist support services, including services for young people with SEN. A personal adviser should be involved in your year 9 review.
Your local education authority should have in place arrangements for working in partnership with Connexions.
