In Knowsley, we believe that children and young people should be encouraged and have the opportunity to be heard within the services they are accessing. Knowsley’s participation standards allow you to get involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of services:
- Decision making – you need to be involved in making decisions on how services are delivered.
- Having a say and being listened to – you should be encouraged and have the opportunity to be heard within the service you are accessing.
- Working together – you are given the opportunity to get together and share ideas.
- Change – changes should happen as a result of what you say.
- Response – you need to be made aware of all outcomes resulting from your involvement.
- Training – you need to be informed about your rights according to your needs. Staff and managers need to access training to deliver the participation agenda in Knowsley.
