Foster families look after you if you cannot live with your own family. There are different types of foster families:
- Short-term care for a few days or weeks.
- Long-term care.
- Care for disabled children to give parents and children a break.
- Private fostering, when you will be looked after by someone your parents choose, rather than who social workers choose.
No matter how long or short the stay with a foster family, you will be placed in a secure and loving home.
