Parenting classes
Although many people think that parenting should come naturally and that it’s all about instinct, it can be useful to learn parenting skills in a more structured way.Parenting classes give advice and information on bringing up children including:
- what to expect at each age
- how to handle behaviour problems
- the best way to discipline your children
- how to handle teenagers
- information about schools and education
- how to manage stress and anger
Classes also give you the opportunity to meet other parents and see how your methods differ from theirs. It also allows you to reflect on how you were brought up as a child.
