Sleep
Difficulty sleeping can be quite common during pregnancy for many reasons:- You may need to wee more often during the night.
- Finding a comfortable sleeping position is harder as you get bigger.
- You may get too hot.
- Backache might keep you awake.
- You may suffer with leg cramps or feel itchy.
Your midwife or GP may be able to advise you on what to do if your sleep is disturbed. For some women, a relaxing bath before bedtime or drinking warm milk works a treat.
If you are thinking about taking sleeping tablets or herbal remedies, please consult your doctor first.
