What to wear
Before your bump begins to show, you may be able to get away with leaving your trouser button open and wearing longer tops. But from six months on, you’ll need something with more room which will grow with your bump. But don’t rush out and buy a whole new maternity wardrobe! Most high street stores now stock maternity wear but if you want to save money you can also find loose fitting clothing in normal fashion ranges such as:
- Baggy tunic tops or sweaters in a larger size than you would normally buy.
- Tracksuit bottoms or drawstring trousers.
- Leggings.
- Stretchy underwear (although you should get measured for a good maternity bra at around seven months).
- Long dresses that flare out from under the bust.
- Loose fitting pyjamas
