Exercise

Keeping you healthy - exerciseExercise doesn’t have to be a chore. Incorporate it into you daily routine and you won’t even know you’re doing it. You could even get your whole family involved.

Government guidelines indicate that if we all do 30 minutes of moderate exercise five days a week, it can bring real benefits to health and fitness.

If you don’t fancy joining a gym or class and jogging in the park isn’t your thing, then try walking more or even do some gardening. Did you know that an hour of digging burns 500 calories?

You don’t have to do all your 30 minutes in one go – three brisk 10 minute walks will do the same job. You could:

  • walk the dog
  • get off the bus one stop early
  • walk to the newsagents
  • walk to the supermarket
