Most children who are being abused don't tell anyone about it.  There are possible signs we should all look out for. These might include:

• A child who is often bruised or injured.
• A child who is often very dirty or smelly.
• A child who is often hungry.
• A child who is often left at home alone.
• A baby crying constantly.
• A child who is often withdrawn.
• A child who displays sexually inappropriate behaviour.

Safeguarding children is the responsibility of everyone in the community.  If you are worried a child might be being abused, don't keep it to yourself.
