Safe surfing
Websites are a great way of learning new things and meeting new people, but don’t forget about your safety.
Be careful about sites which ask you for lots of personal details - you never know where that information might end up! If you see anything which upsets you on a website, just turn off the screen and go and get an adult, don’t feel embarrassed because it’s really easy to come across bad sites by mistake.
As well as personal details, don’t send pictures to people you don’t know or have never met. And if you receive a picture from someone, how can you be sure they are who they say they are? It could be anyone.
Check out the Kidsmart website which tells you how to stay safe by being smart and sticking to their smart rules. You can also test your safety knowledge.
