At play walkingWalking is great exercise and because you do it everyday, you probably don’t even realise you’re exercising!

It’s good for your heart, lungs, and bone growth which is important when you are young. It also makes you feel good.

If you ever feel down or anxious, you should go for a walk in pleasant surroundings with other people. It will help you relax and focus and the fresh air will do you the world of good.

You should get your family involved and even join a walking club. If not, why don’t you try and persuade your parents to walk you to school instead of taking the car!

Safety first

Make sure you stay safe and be aware of who is around you. Always let someone know where you are going, what route you are taking and what time you will get home.
