A step family is when children from different families end up living together for all or part of the time. This may be because your parents are divorced and have married again.

It will take time to get to know your step family as they may have different rules, eat different food and have different ways. But remember that they are in the same boat. They are just as nervous about getting to know you as you are about getting to know them.
