Starting secondary school
You may think that starting secondary school is scary, but it’s a great chance for you to make new friends and learn about lots of new things.
You will find that secondary school is different to your primary school:
- The school will be much bigger than your primary school.
- There will be more pupils.
- You may have lessons in different classrooms (don’t worry if you get lost, someone will always help you).
- You will have more than one teacher.
- You will learn some new subjects.
- You will be treated as a young adult.
If you have an older brother or sister already at the school, you may find it easier to adapt. If you haven’t, don’t worry – there are still plenty of people who will help you find your way around.
