Project team
The Workforce Development Project is guided by a multi-agency team. In addition to this, there are four sub-groups that work on each of the themes of the project. Below is a list of the members of the project team:

- Judy Cope, Training and Network Manager, Community Engagement Network/Knowsley Council for Voluntary Services
- Laura Gallon, Children and Young People’s Link Worker, Knowsley Council for Voluntary Services
- Tracey Holyhead, Training and Development Co-ordinator, Knowsley Safeguarding Children Board
- Glenys Hurst, Governor and Workforce Development Manager, Directorate of Children’s Services
- Ruth Kennedy, Programme Manager, Sure Start
- Paul Lally, Universal Service Director - Community and Youth, Directorate of Children’s Services
- Elaine Plumridge, Human Resources Co-ordinator, Directorate of Health and Social Care
- Beryl Williams, Training and Development Manager, Greater Merseyside Connexions Partnership
- Sue Williams, Employee Development Manager, Directorate of Corporate Resources
In addition to this there are two members of staff employed on this project:
- Alastair Child, Project Officer, Directorate of Children’s Services
- Nicola Ronan, Workforce Data Analyst, Directorate of Children’s Services
Project Strand Leaders

- Recruitment and Retention - Elaine Plumridge, Human Resources Co-ordinator, Directorate of Health and Social Care and Paul Lally, Universal Service Director, Community/Youth, Directorate of Children’s Services
There are representatives for a wide-range of organisations on the sub-groups, these include:
- Public Sector e.g. Youth and Play, schools, libraries, Sure Start, Connexions, Children’s Health and Social Care, Safeguarding Board
- Voluntary Sector e.g. KCVS, Barnardos, YWCA
- Community and Independent Sector e.g. Busy Fingers, Performance Studios, Local Solutions, Area based Community Empowerment Networks
- Faith Sector e.g. Centre 63
We also have several individuals who offer their expertise on an ad hoc basis (dependent on the project and individuals demands). This allows different groups to input into the project without a significant time commitment. We always welcome any interest in joining the project team at any level.
