Safeguarding adults and children alerter workshop (course code SACBA1)

This workshop is recommended for all staff and volunteers working with the general public, or with more specific groups of service users or clients. Through the work of the training company, Afterthought, scenarios will be acted out and characters will interact with the audience. This day promotes the message that safeguarding children, young people and adults in vulnerable circumstances is everyone's responsibility.

Learning outcomes

• To identify a range of possible signs and symptoms of child or adult abuse.
• To know what your responsibilities are when a child, young person or adult discloses abuse to you or where you are concerned that someone may be at risk.
• To know what you should do and what you should not do.
• To know when you must share confidential information.
