Safer Recruitment – Generic Children’s Workforce SCBSR2
This is a multi-agency one day course for those involved in the recruitment and appointment of staff within the children’s workforce. It will help staff develop the skills required to implement Safer Recruitment Standards. Note: For KMBC staff there is a pre-course requirement that participants have completed the Equality & Diversity Recruitment self-study pack and assessment.
Aims of the course
- To give participants an awareness and understanding of offender behaviour.
- To identify the key features of staff recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people.
- To consider policies and practices that minimise opportunities for abuse or ensure its prompt reporting.
- To help participants begin to review their own and their organisation's policies and practices with a view to making them safer.
