EAL
The English as an Additional Language service (EAL) operates across the borough of Knowsley, teaching English to children and students for whom it is their second language. The main aims of the service are:
- To teach English.
- To enhance social skills so that children integrate into school life successfully.
- To raise cultural awareness amongst the children learning the language and amongst the school communities that they are joining.
We have produced training materials and useful resources for schools, teachers and parents and have made them available on this website for you to use and adapt.
